Terms of Service
Effective date: April 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ScreenSense desktop application and related services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Nazli Nadem on behalf of Rayan Sohrabian, based in California, United States ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using ScreenSense you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What ScreenSense is
ScreenSense is a macOS application (macOS 12 or later, Apple Silicon) that, on your request, captures a screenshot of your screen, runs on-device optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text, sends the screenshot and extracted text to Anthropic's Claude API, and renders visual annotations (arrows, circles, highlights) over your screen pointing at the elements relevant to your question.
The Service requires the macOS Screen Recording permission to function. Without it, the app cannot see your screen and cannot answer your questions.
2. Eligibility and accounts
ScreenSense is intended for general audiences and does not contain mature or harmful content. However, in accordance with our payment processor's requirements and applicable contract law, you must be at least 18 years old to purchase credits. Users under 18 may use ScreenSense's free starter credit and core features under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on the user's behalf.
Authentication uses email magic links. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device on which your session token is stored. Notify us immediately at support@tryscreensense.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Credits and billing
- ScreenSense uses a prepaid credit model. New accounts receive 50¢ in free credit on signup to try the product.
- Top-ups start at $5.00. Larger tiers ($10, $20, $50, $100) include progressively larger bonus credits, shown at checkout before you confirm.
- Each request consumes credits based on the computational cost of processing it (image size, response length). The cost is shown in the app after each request.
- Credits do not expire and are non-transferable.
- You may opt in to auto-recharge, which automatically charges your saved card $5 when your balance falls below the per-request threshold. You can disable auto-recharge at any time from the app settings.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- We may update pricing with at least 14 days' notice by email to the address on your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use ScreenSense to capture content you don't have the right to view, share with third-party AI services, or process with automated tools — for example, classified material, others' confidential documents, or content protected by an NDA you have signed.
- Use the Service to generate content that violates applicable law, infringes intellectual property, or violates Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy.
- Reverse-engineer, attempt to extract credentials from, or circumvent rate limits, billing controls, or per-request spending caps.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or your account access without our prior written permission.
- Use the Service to harass, deceive, or impersonate any person.
5. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
ScreenSense relies on a third-party AI model whose outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or misleading. Do not rely on ScreenSense for medical, legal, financial, or other safety-critical decisions.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. See our Refund Policy for what happens to unused credits.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
